Every year, Knox commits thousands of volunteer hours and more than 15% of our budget to mission — supporting 22 partner organizations in Cincinnati and around the world. There's a place for everyone: hands-on service, ongoing relationships, or occasional projects, in a way that fits your availability and interests.

Knox's longest-standing partnership pairs Christians from opposite sides of Cincinnati — and opposite ends of the economic ladder — in an ongoing exchange of love and mutual growth. Our engagement with Third Church takes many forms: hands-on involvement with their programming, technical and administrative support, and significant financial backing, including current efforts to expand their outdoor space with a basketball court and playground for neighborhood kids.

Found House IHN provides emergency shelter and housing support to Cincinnati families experiencing homelessness, working with over 100 congregations of many faiths. Knox is proud to be a supporting congregation - offering volunteers and resources as Found House staff work to help families secure stable, affordable housing.

What began as a seminary internship became a lasting partnership: Knox supports the ministry of Rev. David Annett at Cranston, where he serves a quarter of his time as Stated Supply Pastor — preaching, moderating the session, and helping launch a youth group. As Cranston discerns what God is doing in their community, Knox provides energy, engagement, and support along the way.

Knox is committed to weaving racial justice into the fabric of our life together as we worship, learn, and serve. Working alongside our Session's Racial Justice Task Force — and open to all members — this ministry moves with three commitments: to listen to the diversity of experiences in our congregation, to learn together in ways that change hearts and not just minds, and to act for God's justice in Cincinnati. Knox backs this work with a standing annual budget commitment of $50,000 for racial justice initiatives.
